Reindeer

During Christmas holidays, we sipped hot cocoa and watched as many christmas movies as possible. We also spent sometime building this beautiful reindeer.

Science Experiments

When you mix baking soda and vinegar, its explosion. When you add cool colors to it, it is a fun explosion.

We also added citric acid and vinegar to see the acids pop.

Show and Tell at Day care

For St.Patrick's day his day care had a show and tell. AK built this clover with a man holding a flag.

Ceramic Painting at Color me mine

Winters are meant for crafts. AK and I had a great time painting this spaceship.

The above picture was just after three coats of paint and the below was heated and made into a ceramic. Boy, he had a great day painting it.

Lego Store

Every month we visit the Lego store for Lego life meetings, Lego swap and many more. AK participates in building at the Lego store and displays them. We frequent there so much that he knows most of the sales associates :).

He created this dragon blaster, that will protect you from bad guys. When bad guys approach, the blaster will emit dragon fire.

A lazy afternoon

Today, we spent most of the time home due to a rainy and gloomy day outside. So what best we do when we don't go out, we build Legos.

In this series, I have posted some of AK's lazy creations.

This is a rocket ship, with an astronaut working on the ship in the space station. The door will open if the engine is broken.

Here is a crocodile, T-rex and a undergrounder truck built at a friend's house.

One of the other building sets we have is Zoob Builderz. AK has had fun with it as well. While it is a little different from Lego, this also helps a curious kid to connect, create shapes and imagine new ways to build things. I find them more flexible than lego. He made DNA, while we had a little teaching moment about what a DNA is in a human body.

The above 2 are the most hilarious creations of AK. Since I was pregnant I had spent most of my time on the couch resting. On my birthday AK created this lego piece where I am resting on the couch and my husband taking the trash out while AK is playing with toys.

On Krishna Jayanthi, I narrated the story of Krishna and how he avenged Kamsa, the evil uncle of Krishna. Ak quickly made a lego creation to add to the puja set.

At the library

The library here has several Lego programs and fun activities geared to create interests to little kids. Here at our library, AK put together a tall building, taller than him :).

Lego - my little munchkin's passion

Ever since my little one, who is not little anymore was introduced to Lego, he had shown enormous interest in building many mighty characters, buildings, imaginary constructions and what not. Every single minute he talks about Lego and builds cool things. I have recorded every single Lego construction he has done. Here in this page, I will post his creations and the descriptions he gives.

The above creation is called a Quad copter. The Quad copter guards the Lego Chima Lion's kingdom. The driver of this vehicle is Max. The ignition at the back of the copter helps the Quad copter to lift off or go down. The yellow board behind Max, shoots bullets when bad guys are headed towards them.

The above creation is the max star. This also guards the Crocodile kingdom. This is from Lego Chima collection.
